I see what you were going for, but the composition on this shot isn't the best. What this picture is suffering from, is location. It's just not all that attractive with the cars and houses around. The foliage is really nice and green, as you said and I like the color of the sky.
It's pretty good, so don't give up. You just need to try and find a little more appealing environment / location / angle.

Nice! Love how the things look after the rain, the plants, trees, also the pavement. Walk on the street after the rainfall when all things are wet it’s a cool and simple thing to do. You captured that. +9
